My Big Day announces the 1st Annual Loveland Valentine’s Day Group Wedding
 
Loveland, Colorado December 29th, 2016 – In its fourth year, My Big Day announces a change to their Valentine’s Day event. Once a tastings tour in the city, we have opted to provide an event that is a bit broader and allows for more participants- all in the name of love!
 
The Loveland Valentine’s Day Group Wedding is our answer to the overwhelming request we hear year after year – that citizens and visitors to the Sweetheart City want to say “I Do” on Valentine’s Day. This event is not only a wedding, but a vow renewal for those who want to celebrate their commitment year after year.
 
The location we’ve chosen for the ceremony is Loveland’s Foote Lagoon Amphitheater. It is both romantic and unique – a picturesque location for a ceremony.  The wedding and vow renewal ceremony will be officiated by K99’s Morning Show host, Todd Harding.  Todd is a hopeless romantic, himself. His love for his wife, Jenny is an inspiration.
 
The ceremony is at 4:30pm at the Foote Lagoon on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.  To participate, couples must register online at ValentinesDayInLoveland.com.  Participation is just $30 a person and includes the customized ceremony, romantic music by Branden Sipes, certificate signed by the officiant, personalized photo by Memorybox Photos, signature cupcakes from B Sweet Cupcakes, a gift bag, and a chance to win a large gift basket! 
 
For couples getting married, we ask that they allow some time to apply for their marriage certificate prior to the ceremony. Details can be found on the event website.

Q: What type of ceremony will it be?
A: We will offer a ceremony suitable for everyone, no matter your religion or faith.  The officiant will offer vows that you can repeat to each other. He will also offer a silent moment for any unscripted vows or things you want to say to each other.

Q: How do I know if I'm booked?
A: When you check out from our pay portal, you'll receive an email confirmation.  You'll also receive an email reminder with additional details prior to Valentine's Day.

Q: What do I need to know or bring with me prior to arrival?
A: No need to print a receipt. We will have your name on our list at registration.  Registration takes place at 2pm at the Loveland Library - Gertrude Scott Room. 300 N. Adams, Loveland, CO 80537. Wedding couples must bring their Larimer County Marriage Certificate and IDs.  Vow Renewal couples just need to bring their IDs.  The ceremony will take place at the Loveland Foote Lagoon Amphitheater - 500 E Third St Loveland, CO 80537 at 4:30pm.

Q: I have to work on Valentine's Day, what do I do?
A: We recommend that at least one person takes the day off or a half day, so that you can register at 2pm. Registration is mandatory.  The sun sets at 5:30pm that day, so it will be getting dark by 5pm.  The ceremony needs to take place before it gets too dark, thus the 4:30pm ceremony time.

Q: How long is the ceremony?
A: About 30 minutes.  Keep in mind that you will need extra time before or after the ceremony to take photos, if you wish. You will also need to wait in line post ceremony to collect your marriage certificate or vow renewal certificate.

Q: Do I need to make a dinner reservation ahead of time in Loveland?
A: YES! We highly recommend that if you'd like to dine in Loveland on Valentine's Day after the ceremony, that you make a dinner reservation far in advance. Since we are the Sweetheart City, restaurants get VERY busy over the holiday.

Q: Where can I learn more about what's going on around Loveland during this time?
A: We recommend you visit a couple sites: VisitLovelandCO, and Loveland Events and Happenings.

Q: Can I bring friends/family members who aren't participating?
A: No. We discourage this simply because we want the folks who paid to participate to receive the best experience, which was customized for them.  We also have a capacity at the venue, so we need to be careful and only allow those who registered to participate.

Q: What about bad weather?
A: All of our events take place rain, snow, or shine. It could be below zero, or 60 degrees. We never know on Valentine's Day. Dress appropriately.  The event will not be cancelled for weather, and we do not offer refunds.  We will have an emergency indoor backup location on reserve, should weather simply be intolerable.

Q: Where should I park?
A: There is public parking available all over downtown Loveland.  Use this LINK to view a parking map.

Q: For attire, do we have to be formal?
A: No, you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Please dress for the weather.
