Say “I Do” (Again) in America’s Sweetheart City

2/7/2026

Every February, something quietly magical happens in Loveland, Colorado. Couples gather not for spectacle or stress, but for connection - for a ceremony that feels intentional, romantic, and deeply personal. The Loveland Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony is designed for couples who want a meaningful moment without the overwhelm (or price tag) of a traditional wedding.

This is not a courthouse transaction - and it’s not a cookie-cutter event either. It’s a shared celebration of love, commitment, and choosing each other, surrounded by other couples doing the same.

A Romantic (and Refreshingly Affordable) Way to Get Married
Let’s be real: weddings can be expensive, complicated, and exhausting. This ceremony offers an alternative that still feels romantic and special. Couples receive a thoughtfully crafted group ceremony, live music, keepsake photos, and memorable touches unique to Loveland - the Sweetheart City.
Picture
Beautiful Way to Renew Your Vows
This event has also become a favorite for couples celebrating milestone anniversaries. Renewing vows in Loveland is less about recreating a wedding day and more about honoring the journey you’ve shared together. Many couples return to say “I still do” after 10, 20, and even 40+ years together.

It’s a reminder that love grows, evolves, and deserves to be celebrated again and again.
Picture
Meet the Team That Makes the Magic
Behind the scenes is a small, dedicated team that’s been part of this tradition from the beginning:
Todd Harding, former radio personality and beloved community voice, has served as the officiant since the very first ceremony. His delivery is warm, thoughtful, and grounded - never rushed, never generic.
Picture
Branden Sipes brings the soundtrack. His live music sets a romantic, relaxed tone and has become a defining part of the experience year after year.
Picture
And new this year: The Pulliam Community Building. Recently renovated, this space is bright, elegant, and welcoming—an ideal backdrop for an intimate ceremony that still feels like an occasion.

Behind it all is Big Deal Company, the Northern Colorado-based marketing and events team that produces the Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony each year. Known for creating experiences that feel personal, polished, and community-centered, Big Deal brings together local talent, thoughtful details, and seamless planning to ensure couples can simply show up and enjoy the moment. Their goal is simple: make love the focus, not logistics.

Why Couples Choose Loveland
Loveland isn’t just the setting—it’s part of the story. Known nationally for its Valentine traditions, LOVE sculptures, and messages sent around the world each February, the city has earned its nickname as America’s Sweetheart City. Getting married or renewing vows here means stepping into that tradition and making part of your own history.

A Community That Celebrates Love
This year’s celebration wouldn’t be possible without the support of partners who believe in Loveland’s legacy as America’s Sweetheart City. The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and Visit Loveland - the tourism arm of the city, proudly support the Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony as part of their ongoing commitment to strengthening community, supporting local experiences, and welcoming couples from near and far to fall in love with Loveland—again and again.

Love, Generosity, and Local Magic
One of the most joyful parts of the Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony is how generously our community shows up for couples. Every registered couple receives a thoughtfully curated gift bag filled with local favorites, special offers, and meaningful surprises—plus a chance to win an incredible grand prize basket.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a real, legal wedding?
Yes. The Valentine’s Day Group Wedding is a fully legal ceremony. Couples are responsible for obtaining their marriage license in advance, and our officiant will complete and sign the paperwork so it can be properly filed after the ceremony.

Can we bring guests?
Absolutely. Couples are welcome to invite a small group of family and friends to share in the moment. The ceremony is designed to feel intimate and celebratory—more like a gathering of loved ones than a large production. The focus will be on the couples, so guests will be asked to sit in viewing sections around the room as space provides.

What if we’re renewing our vows?
Vow renewals are a cherished part of this event. Many couples join us to celebrate milestone anniversaries or simply to pause and recommit. Renewing couples take part in the same ceremony, with language thoughtfully crafted to honor years already shared.

What’s included with registration?
Registration includes the ceremony, live music, keepsake photos, a commemorative lock to “lock your love” in Loveland, a curated gift bag from local partners, and entry into the grand prize giveaway—plus the experience of being married or renewed in America’s Sweetheart City.

With honor and pride McKayley will represent the community of Loveland throughout the 2024 year. She also receives scholarship funds toward her college education awarded from a trust established by the founders of the Loveland Valentine Program, Ted and Mabel Thompson. Miss Valentine, McKayley Lane, is Loveland’s spokesperson, as she makes many presentations throughout the community.

Tiffany Villavicencio, owner of Mountain Wave Marketing, is thrilled to have her design selected for this year's coveted Valentine card for the City of Loveland. As the proud designer, she poured her heart into crafting a masterpiece that encapsulated the essence and beauty of Loveland, while paying homage to the unique remailing program that has been going strong for 78 years now! Having grown up in Loveland, and still residing in northern Colorado, she is honored to contribute to the tradition of spreading love and joy in Loveland and around the world, making this Valentine's Day an unforgettable experience for her.

Corry McDowell, art designer for this year’s cachet and postal cancellation stamp has been a resident of Loveland since 1972. Married to Ray McDowell and mother of five, Corry also has been a day-care mom for twenty years. Graduating from Ferris State College, Corry used her degree in Commercial Art at the Alco Discount Store Advertising Dept. Corry entered some designs for the Valentine program at the prompting of a friend. In 1996 she was surprised to hear that the Chamber liked her ideas. Corry has had her card design used seven times, her cachet design chosen 20 times, and the postal cancellation design selected 12 times. Corry says “It has been a pleasure entering my designs for the Valentine Remailing Program contests over the years, being a part of touching the world with love from Loveland.”

Brenda S. Glover moved to Loveland in 2004.  After 37 years working at Anthem and IBM, she retired as an IT Specialist.  Upon retiring, she volunteered at the Loveland Visitors Center, and then was hired as a part-time clerk, working for 5 years. Again in retirement now, she volunteers with the Friends of the Loveland Library and is part of the Windsor Museum Curator Crew.  She is also on the HOA board in her community.  Brenda enjoys taking art classes, making art, reading, concerts, music, movies, and traveling.  Brenda is thrilled and excited to have her verse selected for the 2024 Valentine.  She believes that the Valentine Remailing Program is one of the wonderful reflections of the Loveland community.

Jeani Bork’s roots run deep for the Loveland remailing program.  Back in the 80's was Jeani’s first exposure to the program through work at King Soopers. She never gave much thought to the Valentine Card verse or Cachet verse, until she saw the Reporter Herald announcement in 2018 calling for entries for the Valentine card and cachet for 2019 .Jeani submitted a card verse and it was selected for the 2019 Valentine Card. She then submitted a card verse for 2020.  It, too, was selected.  Jeani has continued to submit verses for the card and cachet. Her cachet verse was selected for 2022 and again this year 2024. Jeani  loves the City of Loveland (Sweetheart City), her home since 1977.
