LOVELAND, Colo. – December 17, 2024 – In Loveland, Colorado, the nation’s Sweetheart City, Valentine season starts now. The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and Visit Loveland Colorado are kicking off Loveland’s 2025 Valentine Season with a press conference on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 at 4pm.

Highlights of the 2025 Valentine Season
The city that has become synonymous with love is preparing to showcase its most anticipated annual tradition. Loveland continues to capture hearts worldwide, processing an astounding 100,000 Valentines each year and maintaining its status as the nation's premier Valentine destination.

• Press conference will feature live reveal of the 2025 Valentine card, cachet, and postmark

The 2018 Loveland Valentines Hearts Program is already taking orders and is 2/3 sold out!

This program is sponsored by the Loveland Thompson Valley Rotary as one of their annual fund raisers.
Each heart is hand painted by a Thompson Valley Honor Society student and displayed on streets throughout Loveland during the month of February.

- This year, all orders will be through the on-line order form only.  Credit card payment only.

- Heart orders are $50.00 each and will be displayed during the month of February.  The Hearts are reused each year, so are for display only and not for sale. 

- The number of Hearts orders is limited, so please order early.  The last day to place an order is January 25, 2018, or once we reach max order capacity, whichever occurs first.  (NOTE:  last year we reached capacity on January 14, so we do sell out quickly.)

Sending your Valentine's through the Sweetheart City to get stamped with a special cachet has been a tradition in Loveland, CO since 1947.  Envelopes are hand cancelled by Loveland volunteers.

The Loveland Museum/Gallery has added a new tradition, "Stamp Camp" for ages 8 and up.  Kiddos can learn all about the history of Loveland's Valentine program and stamp some of the 2014 Valentine's that will make their way through Loveland to mailboxes worldwide!

Two sessions are available for FREE, and space is limited.

Dates: Wednesday, February 5, 3:30 - 5pm  and  Saturday, February 8, 1 - 2:30 pm

For more than 40 years, the streets of the Sweetheart City have been lined each February with hundreds of wooden hearts. Many proclaim personalized words of affection, devotion and admiration in 25 letters or fewer. Thompson Valley Rotary has been managing the program for nearly 20 years.

Community members can request nearly anything written on the hearts. Each message will be stenciled on the heart with the help of local students. Proceeds of the sales go to help children locally and abroad through the Thompson Valley Rotary Club.
