Valentine-themed events range from elaborate to simple

LOVELAND -- Indelibly marked as the Sweetheart City, Loveland carries some pretty high expectations when Valentine's Day rolls around. So local businesses are doing their part to make sure that the city doesn't disappoint.

From a two-day romantic getaway to a quick, fun dinner at a fast-food restaurant, local businesses are offering options to sweethearts. In case you're still scrambling for a fun Valentine's Day idea, here's a sampling of local offerings:

Some people in Loveland are tired of the sweetheart theme, said Heidi Kerr-Schlaefer, "mayor" of the travel and festival website HeidiTown.com. "But I say, you know what, you're Love-land; embrace it and run with it."

Kerr-Schlaefer, a Loveland resident who promotes travel across the state, is partnering with two other Loveland businesswomen to sell Valentine's weekend packages featuring local food and drink.

The My Big Date partners, NoCo Short Bus Tours, HeidiTown.com and My Big Day Events are thrilled with the popularity of our Valentine's packages this year! We have guests coming from all over the country!
Like with anything that is popular, demand sets in and sell-out happens quickly!

Currently our evening package, "Brewery & Distillery Tour" is already sold out. (2.15.15 at 3:30pm)

However, we still have spots available for our "Brunch and Brew" packages at 9:45 am for both 2/14 and 2/15!

The benefit of our Brunch and Brew package is the you get to spend a FULL DAY
in the Sweetheart City, Loveland, CO!
***The NoCo Short Bus will pick you up at 9:45am and return you to the pick-up location around 2:00pm. The My Big Date hosts are excited to announce our Valentine's Day menu! We have partnered with Loveland Aleworks and Taste Gourmet Catering to bring you a delectable brunch menu with beer pairings!

Here is what our guests have to look forward to at our Loveland Aleworks stop:

Upon arrival , guests will receive a Loveland Aleworks signature Beermosa.

Course 1: Raspberry Sour Ale
House made Cinnamon Rolls
Course 2: IPA
Breakfast Quinoa with Fruit Compote
Sweetened Couscous topped with honey and tea steeped dried fruit

Your Valentine's Night Out Questions Answered

The 3 creators of "My Big Date Night" have received a number of questions about the Valentine's packages. We thought we'd share some info with you...

If you are curious about dates, the packages are available for 4 different days/nights. You can enjoy a full day/night in Loveland over Valentine's weekend, OR the following weekend! (14-15, 21-22)

As for the hotel stays, each hotel package is for 1 night in the hotel of your choice. You can book 2 packages for 2 nights. (ex: Friday take a brewery tour and Saturday take a distillery tour). Each package is booked separately.

Regarding hotel arrangements, everything you need will be on your confirmation. We'll give your name to the hotel you book. Your room, and your dinner seating will be reserved. Your name will also be on the tour reservation, and each brewery or distillery will be expecting you!

How do I pick? Figure out what's most important to you. Is it the type of tour? Is it the day/night you have available? Or is it the hotel you stay at or dinner you have? All options are listed out for you on each, individual package.

What's in the gift bags? TONS of free stuff! If you like shopping, chocolate, and beer--- you'll love our gift bags!
