So local businesses are doing their part to make sure that the city doesn't disappoint. From a two-day romantic getaway to a quick, fun dinner at a fast-food restaurant, local businesses are offering options to sweethearts. In case you're still scrambling for a fun Valentine's Day idea, here's a sampling of local offerings: My Big Date Some people in Loveland are tired of the sweetheart theme, said Heidi Kerr-Schlaefer, "mayor" of the travel and festival website HeidiTown.com. "But I say, you know what, you're Love-land; embrace it and run with it." Kerr-Schlaefer, a Loveland resident who promotes travel across the state, is partnering with two other Loveland businesswomen to sell Valentine's weekend packages featuring local food and drink. |
